Pac-12 Championships Day 1

The first day of the 2012 Pac-12 Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships took place today. Two events were swum: the 200-yard medley relay, and the 800-yard freestyle relay.
The Cal Poly team of sophomore Joseph Wasko and freshmen Jimmy Deiparine, Jesse WcWhirk, and Mackey Hopen posted a time of 1 minute, 32.20 seconds to place eighth in the 200 medley relay event.
In the 800 freestyle relay, freshman Christian Renfro, sophomores Konrad Antoniuk and Adrian Brynnel, and junior Eddie Huang teamed to swim a time of 6:41.33. They also placed eighth.
The meet will continue tomorrow and run through Saturday.
